Terms & Conditions

1. Service Overview

I provide digitization and media conversion services, including but not limited to photos, slides, DVDs, and other personal media formats. All work is performed on a best-effort basis based on the condition of the original materials provided.

2. Customer Responsibility

• You own or have legal rights to the materials provided.
• You have retained or made copies of any items you consider irreplaceable prior to submission.
• You understand that original media may be fragile due to age or condition.

3. Quality & Results

• Results may vary depending on the condition of the original media.
• I do not guarantee restoration of damaged, faded, or degraded materials.
• Output quality is limited by the source material provided.

4. Handling of Materials

All items are handled with care. However:

• Minor wear or degradation may occur due to normal handling of aging media.
• I am not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration revealed during processing.

5. Limitation of Liability

In the unlikely event of loss or damage:

• Liability is limited to the cost of the specific service provided for the affected item(s).
• No liability is assumed for sentimental or replacement value.
• I am not liable for loss or damage resulting from events outside of my control, including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, theft, power outages, hardware failure, or other acts of nature or third parties.

6. Turnaround Time

Estimated completion times are provided as guidance only and may vary depending on workload and project complexity.

7. Payment

Payment terms are agreed upon prior to or at the time of service. A deposit may be required at the time of service, and the remaining balance is due upon completion of the work. Completed work and materials may be withheld until payment is received in full.

8. Personal Use Only

All converted media and digital files provided through this service are intended for personal use only. By using this service, you agree that converted materials will not be uploaded, posted, publicly shared, redistributed, sold, streamed, or otherwise used in a way that violates copyright or other ownership rights. This includes, for example, digitized music, video, or other recordings that are converted for private and family listening, viewing, backup, or archival purposes only.

9. Media Abandonment

Upon completion of your project, you will be notified that your original media and completed deliverables are ready for pickup or delivery.

Original media, storage devices, and completed materials will be held for 30 days following the date of project completion notification. If you have not retrieved your items or contacted me to make other arrangements within that time, they will be considered abandoned.

After 30 days, I am no longer responsible for storing, returning, or safeguarding abandoned media or storage devices. Abandoned items may be securely discarded, recycled, or reused at my discretion.

10. Digital File Storage

As a convenience, completed digital files may be made available through Google Drive or another online file-sharing service.

Digital files will be retained for 30 days following the date of project completion notification. It is the customer’s responsibility to download, copy, and verify all files before the 30-day storage period expires.

After 30 days, digital files may be permanently deleted without further notice. While reasonable care is taken to safeguard customer files during the retention period, customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups once files have been delivered.

By submitting materials for service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
